In collaboration with Taiwan’s Hua Yao International Travel, a 17-member Taitung County tourism delegation visited South Korea.
To promote tourism from South Korea to Taitung, the delegation hosted a tourism promotion event in Seoul, attended by over 50 local outbound travel agencies, airlines, and media representatives. They introduced Taitung’s outstanding tourism offerings, such as hot springs, indigenous culture, the Taiwan International Balloon Festival, surfing, sports tourism, hot spring resorts, orchard produce, and local cuisine.
The delegation’s three main goals were:
Hosting the "Chill Taitung – Stay Cozy, Stay in Taitung" tourism promotion event and gala dinner
Visiting the Taipei Representative Office in Korea and meeting with local Korean travel agencies
Participating in an industry networking luncheon
In addition, the delegation visited several famous attractions in Seoul, including Banpo Hangang Park, the Grand Greenhouse of Changgyeonggung Palace, and Namsan Park. The itinerary also included a cherry blossom viewing during the Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival at Yeongdeungpo.
